I’ve been makign it a goal of mine to eat vegetables in every meal. Breakfast is the most difficult I realized, we often go to yogurt, cereal, muffins etc, and it can be hard to prioritize veggies in the morning! Smoothies are a great way to get your greens! Check out this super easy recipe below for a cold and delicious blueberry kale smoothie.
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 of a banana
big handful of fresh kale
protein powder of your choosing (optional)
1-2 cups almond milk (until it covers the ingredients in the blender)
Place blueberries, banana, and kale in first. Then add almond milk, covering the other ingredients with the liquid. Then add protein powder. If you add protein powder first it often gets stuck to the bottom of the blender in my experience.
Blend until smooth! Garnish with a mint leaf or two to get really fancy. 😉
